About Rewrite This
Rewrite This started with a Slack message I rewrote four times before sending. It was a reply to my manager, and none of the versions felt right - the first was too blunt, the second too apologetic, the third somehow both. I spent longer wording three sentences than it took to do the actual work they were about.
It turns out almost everyone does this. We stall on the email to a client, the message declining a meeting, the note chasing an unpaid invoice - not because the words are hard, but because the situation is uncomfortable and the tone is easy to get wrong. So I built a free AI rewriter for exactly that moment: you paste what you already want to say, and it hands back a version that sounds professional, without you rewriting it a fourth time.
What it does, and what it doesn't
Rewrite This only rewrites. It never generates a message from scratch and never invents things for you to say - you always paste your own words first, and it keeps your meaning intact. Pick a tone (professional, friendly, firm, apologetic, or concise), and it adjusts the wording, not the substance, keeping the result close to your original length.
It is genuinely free: ten rewrites a day with no account and no card. There is no upsell buried in the tool, no watermark on your text, and no dark pattern waiting at the end.
Your messages are never stored
This one matters, so it is worth saying plainly: your messages are never saved. There is no user database on our side to save them in. Each message is sent securely to the AI provider only to generate the rewrite, and that's the end of it. The privacy page spells out exactly what is and isn't handled, including the small amount of anonymous usage data we keep.
Who built it
Rewrite This was built by Abdul Jafar.
I build tools that are actually useful, and I try to keep them genuinely free. A lot of software that solves a small, real, everyday problem ends up behind a signup wall, a trial timer, or a price tag that has nothing to do with what it costs to run. That always struck me as backwards. If something takes two seconds to help someone, it should not take ten minutes and a credit card to reach it.
So this one is free, with no account, no card, and no upsell hiding at the end of the rewrite. If you get value out of it and never give me anything back, that is a fine outcome.
If you have feedback, or a situation the tool handles badly, I want to hear it.
